
Word of the Day: Manwë (Súlimo) – the leader of the Ainur, King of the Valar. He was also known as Súlimo. His name means ‘blessed one,’ or ‘blessed person,’ coming from Man- (‘blessed’) and -wë (‘person’).
Súlimo means ‘Lord of the breath of Arda,’ in Quenya – or it could be known as just ‘breather.’

As the Ainu who is closest to Erú, he was the greatest in authority (but not power) in the Valar, ruling anything that dwells within Arda. He is the spouse of Varda, and they dwell on the top of Mount Taniquetil in Valinor.
