Word of the Day: Imrahil – Prince of Dol Amroth and helped lead the Citadel Guard in the Siege of Gondor.
Imrahil in the War of the Ring
He lives in his castle, Dol Amroth by the sea in the great fief of Belfalas. He is tall and proud, and has sea-grey eyes.
He came with 700 soldiers to Minas Tirith in the beginning of Return of the King, before the battle of Pelennor Fields. He viewed the funeral procession of Theoden. After that he recognized Éowyn, while still alive, was in danger of death so he brought her to the Houses of Healing.
Imrahil then went into battle and he and Éomer soon joined Aragorn at Harlond. Then, continuing east, they were able to drive away the Orcs and the Variags. He vowed to continue following Aragorn during the debates of the Captains of the West.
Imrahil was also present in the Field of Cormallen (after the destruction of the Ring) and coronation of Aragorn.
