Word of the Day: Eärendil – ‘lover of the sea.’ He was a Half-Elven mariner who voyaged to Valinor.
He obtained a ‘long youth’ for his sons and their descendants. E went to Valinor -he wasn’t able to go back to Middle Earth, but he received a grace from Ilúvatar via Manwë to have a choice in where they want to belong, and that they have a “long and fair youth,” as told in the Nature of Middle Earth.
